A Concept for Multi-Phase Incremental Formal Verification in Robotic Guided Surgery Mattias Ulbrich, Luzie Schreiter, Sarah Grebing, Jörg Raczkowsky, Heinz Wörn, and Bernhard Beckert This work-in-progress paper outlines the concepts of an approach for the formal verification of robotic guided surgery interventions at three different stages of the procedure. The central idea is that complex modelling and verification tasks are performed preclinically during component design yielding simpler safety conditions that can be checked more efficiently shortly before or during the intervention. A simplified example is presented to illustrate this central idea.
