Directions

We are located in building 50.34, 2nd floor, east wing (right entry). For your orientation, please refer to our campus map.

Get to Karlsruhe Hbf (Main station) with Deutsche Bahn (German Rail). Exit through main entrance. All trams departing to the right go to the city centre. Take tram line 2 direction Wolfartsweier or S4 direction Bretten/Gölshausen (or Heilbronn). Get off at "Durlacher Tor". (Further information on public transportation can be found at KVV. Deutsche Bahn timetables offer detailed Information on traveling by train.) Cross the tracks and the street crossing to your left and follow the road (Adenauerring). Turn right after approx. 500m (Am Fasanengarten). The Department of Informatics is now located on the left.

• From Frankfurt (North):
  Take Autobahn A5, direction Karlsruhe/Basel until exit Karlsruhe-Durlach, proceed towards Karlsruhe (first exit). Follow the four-line boulevard (Durlacher Allee) until the signage »KIT«, then turn right (Adenauerring). Turn right after approx. 500m (Am Fasanengarten). The Department of Informatics is now on the left. Parking spaces are located right below the building.
• From Palatinate (West):
  Take Autobahn A61 until you reach A5, proceed as above.
• From Stuttgart (East):
  Take Autobahn A8 direction Karlsruhe until Karlsruher Dreieck (Autobahn crossing), then proceed on A5 direction Frankfurt, exit Karlsruhe-Durlach, proceed as above.
• From South:
  Take Autobahn A5 direction Frankfurt, exit Karlsruhe-Durlach, proceed as above.

• Airport Stuttgart
  Take tram line S2 or S3 to Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart, then change to a train to Karlsruhe (for exact times of departure, please refer to the train schedule of German Rail). There are various ways to reach us by tram (see above). If you wish to proceed by car, make sure to approach us from the east. Check the website of Stuttgart Airport for flight connections.

• Airport Frankfurt
  The long-distance train station is in close proximity of the airport. Once you get there, take a train to Karlsruhe (for exact times of departure, please refer to the train schedule of German Rail). There are various ways to reach us by tram (see above). If you wish to proceed by car, make sure to approach us from the north. Check the website of Frankfurt Airport for flight connections.

• Airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (Baden-Airpark)
  The buses available at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport will take you to the train stations of Rastatt or Baden-Baden where you will find trains leaving to Karlsruhe. The Baden-Airpark-Express line will take you to Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof. There are various ways to reach us by tram (see above).
